After dodging two hurricanes, the Irish Open finally teed off on October 27 at Hilton Head Lakes Golf Club. Eighty players participated under cool and cloudy conditions. That highly-skilled, flat-bellied foursome representing the Savannah AOH once again took top spot. We extend special thanks to the many volunteers who contributed to making this event a success, including members (and spouses!) of the Bishop Patrick Lynch Division and the St. Ciara Division of the LAOH. Many great raffle prizes were awarded and a wee bit of the craic was enjoyed by all at the conclusion of the day.
Not a good day to be trying to drive in the wrong direction in light of the governor’s mandatory evacuation order.
Well, about that hurricane . . .
Given the Governor’s mandatory evacuation order, the Irish Open, scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed until October 27. Refunds will be available to all who are unable to participate on the new date up until 3 days prior to the event. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you then!
