Tom Reilley was best known as the founder of one of Hilton Heads favorite restaurants “Reilleys.” which he opened shortly after moving to Hilton Head in 1982 with his wife Diane. Reilley’s eventually become a member of 11 restaurants that today are known as the “CRAB” or Coastal Restaurants and Bars” group that include local favorites The Crazy Crab, Bennys Coastal Kitchen, Fishcamp and The Old Oyster Factory.

Tom was proud of his Irish heritage and helped support the founding of the local chapter of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Tom was also responsible for starting the much-loved annual Hilton Head St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Tom was a leader in the development of the tourism industry on Hilton Head and in 2018 was awarded the prestigious John Curry Tourism Award by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of commerce.
